PRINT INDUSTRIES ASSOCIATION OF AUSTRALIA
On Saturday, 12th November 2016 the 38th Annual Western Australian Printing Industries Craftsmanship Award event took place at The Rendezvous Hotel, 148 The Esplanade, Scarborough.
Clockwork Print was proud to be awarded the Bronze Award for its Large Format Application entry. It was printed on 6mm plywood direct to surface and the type of printer was an OCE Arizona 460XTred Flatbed. A UV Cu ink was used. The entry rules stipulated that submissions were invited from any Western Australian based company and/or self-employed persons whose primary source of income is derived from the business of printing and/or associated production, including but not limited to apprentice training institutions and digital printers. The competition was open to both members and non-members of the Printing Industries Association of Australia. Entries had to be original print run only and must have been wholly printed in Western Australia. Also all entries must have been wholly completed from printing stage to finished product in Western Australia. Clockwork were happy to comply and, although this was its first submission to the PIAA we do not intend it to be our last!
The Printing Industries Craftsmanship Awards, known as PICA, celebrate excellence in the print, packaging, and visual communication industry in Western Australia, and recognises the special efforts of printers by awarding their best work.
These awards are an activity of the Printing Industries Association of Australia and have been vital in attaining recognition within and outside the industry on a local and international level.
